Nonhlanhla Mzimela,

Managing Director

(Cert. Acc , N.Dip: CMA, Cert. CIMA)

Nonhlanhla Mzimela is the founder and one of the lead Accountants of the firm.

She holds a Certificate in Accountancy from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal(UZKN) and a National Diploma: Cost and Management Accounting from the Mangosuthu University of Technology(MUT). She has a vast background of Local Governence and Financial Management for Public entities.

Some of her achievements include completion of SAICA Articles through the Auditor-General of South Africa (ie. AGSA), she has drafted TOR’s for many government institutions like COGTA which are still being used today and she has profound experience within the Local Government sphere as a whole. She has worked and managed teams from one of the Big 5 Firms and DBSA. Her experience of 20+ years speaks for It’s self and how she contributed to the gradual growth of the company since inception. Nonhlanhla is also furthering her studies and is currently enrolled with Rose Bank College for post-graduate studies.

Onica Dlobela,

Tax Partner

(Professional Accountant S.A, BCompt: Fin Acc, NDip: Fin Acc)

Onica Dlobela is the Tax Partner and one of the lead Accountants of the firm. She has completed her under-grad studies through the University of South Africa and Durban University of Technology, she holds a BCompt: Financial Accounting and National Diploma: Financial Accounting from the above mentioned educational entities.

Her passion lies within the Accounting & Tax Advisory fields, she joined ‘Qhubeka’ after successfully completing her SAIPA Articles and passing her board-exam. Onica was formally registered as a Professional Accountant (SA) and Tax Practitioner (SA) in 2019. She completed her articles at one of the top Chartered Accountancy firms in the field of VAT Recovery for non-profit organizations and Municipal entities within Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Thus, her passion for Tax was instilled there and gradually grew into a field she anticipates to specialize in.

She has +7years experience dealing with various types of entities, mainly within Non-Profit Organizations and private companies. For ‘Qhubeka’ she leads the Accounting & Tax Advisory division for our valued clients, ensuring to promote easy access to our valuable services, efficiency and creating long lasting relationships. Through her passion and innovativeness, she introduced the “private sector services” for the firm when she joined in 2020 and manages that clientele as a director of the company.

Awonke Majikijela,

Senior Government Consultant

(Business Accountant in Practice S.A, BComm: Fin Acc, Cert. Fin Acc)

Awonke, an academic holding a bachelor of commerce degree in Accounting, An enthusiastic individual with a demonstrated history of working within the government sector ( i.e. Municipal Finance)

She is skilled in budgeting and forecasting, management report writing , financial analysis, financial management, revenue management, variance analysis , cash flow management, governance and compliance and has great experience in dealing with different different stakeholders.

She is one of the lead Accountants of the firm with her sound experience within the Local Government sector.
